Capital Region Environmental Agency is currently seeking a passionate and experienced individual to join our team as the Director of Public Outreach and Community Engagement. As an essential member of our organization, you will lead the charge in promoting environmental awareness, shaping public perception, and fostering community engagement in the Capital Region.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive educational programs and initiatives to increase awareness of environmental issues within the community.
- Create engaging outreach materials, including workshops, seminars, and informational resources designed to empower and educate diverse audiences.
- Forge strategic partnerships with local educational institutions, community groups, and governmental bodies to advance environmental education and advocacy.
- Lead a talented team to execute impactful outreach events and campaigns, ensuring alignment with the organization's mission and vision.
- Assess the effectiveness of outreach efforts and make data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience; advanced degree preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and executing successful public outreach and educational programs.
- Proven track record of building and maintaining partnerships with diverse stakeholders to drive community engagement and education.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills with a strong commitment to environmental advocacy.
- Ability to think strategically, analyze data, and adapt initiatives to meet the evolving needs of the community.
