Heritage Education Specialist

We are seeking a knowledgeable and passionate individual to join our team as a Heritage Education Specialist at the iconic Glen Derwent Tea Rooms. As a Heritage Education Specialist, you will play a crucial role in educating visitors about the historical significance of our establishment and the broader context of heritage preservation. This unique role requires a blend of historical expertise, educational acumen, and a genuine love for storytelling.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement engaging educational programs focused on the heritage and history of Glen Derwent Tea Rooms.
Conduct guided tours and interactive sessions for visitors of all ages, catering to both individuals and groups.
Create educational materials such as brochures, presentations, and digital content to support learning initiatives.
Collaborate with the broader team to integrate heritage education into overall guest experiences and events.
Continuously research and stay abreast of historical findings and developments related to our site.

Requirements:

A strong background in history, heritage studies, or related fields, exemplifying a deep understanding of historical narratives and preservation.
Experience in developing and delivering educational programs, particularly in a heritage or historical context.
