About Us:
We are the Nevada State High School Rodeo Association, deeply committed to promoting education and personal growth through the sport of rodeo. Our organization provides opportunities for high school students to participate in competitive rodeo events while emphasizing discipline, teamwork, and leadership skills.
Position Available: Rodeo Education Coordinator
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement innovative educational programs, promoting a comprehensive understanding of rodeo as a sport and its cultural significance.
- Create engaging curriculum and lesson plans that align with state education standards, utilizing creative teaching methodologies.
- Collaborate with local schools and educators to integrate rodeo education into the existing academic curriculum, fostering interdisciplinary learning experiences.
- Organize educational events, field trips, and workshops to provide students with hands-on learning opportunities related to rodeo history, animal husbandry, and sport safety.
- Coordinate guest speakers, experts, and community partnerships to enhance educational programs and provide diverse perspectives.
- Continuously research and stay up to date with advancements in rodeo education, incorporating innovative teaching techniques, technologies, and emerging trends.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs through assessments, feedback, and analysis, making necessary improvements to enhance student learning outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Sports Science, Agricultural Education, History, or a relevant subject)
- Proven experience in curriculum development, teaching, or educational program coordination.
- Passion for education and dedication to inspiring young minds through innovative teaching methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively engage students, educators, and community stakeholders.
- Understanding of the rodeo culture, its history, and the importance of animal welfare and safety.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
