About Us:

The City of Wentzville is a progressive municipality dedicated to providing quality education and training opportunities to its residents. We are currently seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Learning and Development Specialist.

Your Role:

As a Learning and Development Specialist, you will play a crucial role in developing and executing training programs for our employees. You will collaborate with various departments to identify training needs and design engaging learning materials. This position requires a deep understanding of the latest educational methodologies and a passion for fostering continuous learning.

Responsibilities:

Conduct needs assessments to identify training gaps and develop learning objectives
Design and deliver training content using a variety of methods such as e-learning, classroom instruction, and workshops
Create interactive and engaging training materials, including presentations, job aids, and online modules
Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary improvements
Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and relevance of training content
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and incorporate the latest education and training techniques

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in a related field
Proven experience in curriculum design and instructional design
Excellent presentation and facilitation skills
Strong organizational and project management abilities
Ability to work independently, as well as collaborate with cross-functional teams
Proficient in using learning management systems and e-learning authoring tools
Knowledge of adult learning principles
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
