Your Role:

  • Position: Career Development Specialist
  • Department: Workforce Empowerment
  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Contract Duration: 2 years (Renewable)
  • Salary: Competitive, based on experience

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement career development programs and initiatives
  • Conduct training sessions on career planning, skill development, and job search techniques
  • Provide individual coaching and guidance to employees on their career goals
  • Assess training needs and develop educational materials
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to create networking and mentorship opportunities
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of career development initiatives and recommend improvements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in career development, talent management, or related fields
  • Strong knowledge of career planning strategies and vocational guidance techniques
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and diverse environment
  • Proficiency in English (knowledge of other UN languages is an advantage)
  • Experience with the use of career assessment tools is desirable
  • Willingness to travel, if required
