We are seeking a dedicated individual to fill a critical role within Arctic Fisheries Cooperative in the Western Region of Iceland. In alignment with our commitment to social responsibility and environmental stewardship, we are excited to announce the opening for a Ocean Conservation and Resource Management Specialist.
Responsibilities Include:
- Developing innovative educational programs focused on sustainable fishing practices
- Crafting engaging workshops for stakeholders interested in marine ecology
- Staying informed on the latest trends and research in ocean conservation
- Collaborating with local schools and communities to raise awareness about marine sustainability
- Participating in field research expeditions to contribute to ongoing conservation efforts
Qualifications:
- A passion for environmental initiatives and a keen interest in marine ecosystems
- Strong communication skills and the ability to convey complex concepts in an accessible manner
- Experience in curriculum development or education program design
- Degree in a related field such as Marine Biology, Environmental Science, or a relevant discipline
- Innovative thinking and a commitment to driving positive change in the community
