About Us:

The North Carolina Housing Coalition is a driving force in advocating for affordable housing policies and solutions in North Carolina. We are a team of dedicated individuals committed to creating opportunities for safe, stable, and affordable housing for all North Carolinians.

We are currently seeking a passionate and driven professional to join our team in the role of Empowerment Advocate for Affordable Housing.

Responsibilities:

Engage with local and state policymakers to advocate for policies supporting affordable housing initiatives
Collaborate with community organizations to drive awareness and support for affordable housing solutions
Conduct research and analysis on housing trends, needs, and gaps within North Carolina
Develop and lead campaigns to raise public awareness and support for affordable housing programs
Represent the North Carolina Housing Coalition at relevant community events and forums

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in public policy, social work, urban planning, or related field
Experience working in advocacy, community organizing, or related fields
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated commitment to social justice and housing equality
Understanding of government structures and nonprofit operations
