Culinary Innovator / Creative Cuisine Practitioner

Genoa Youth Empowerment Center is seeking a passionate Culinary Innovator to join our dynamic team. As a pioneer in the art of creative cuisine, you will be responsible for crafting and developing our culinary program to empower and inspire the youth of Genoa. This role goes beyond a standard culinary position, as it requires a forward-thinking, creative individual who can lead the charge in developing innovative culinary experiences.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement unique culinary programs and initiatives tailored to engage and inspire the local youth community.
Collaborate with local producers and artisans to source high-quality, sustainable ingredients, fostering a connection between food and community.
Guide and mentor young culinary enthusiasts through hands-on workshops and educational experiences, fostering a culture of culinary innovation.
Contribute to menu development, incorporating inventive and sustainable practices.
Lead culinary demonstrations and events to showcase the art and science of food in an engaging and approachable manner.
Contribute to social media content creation to showcase culinary initiatives and engage with a wider audience.

Requirements:

Proven experience in a creative culinary role, with a strong foundation in culinary arts and a passion for innovative, sustainable practices.
Demonstrated ability to inspire and mentor others, particularly in a youth-centered capacity.
Strong understanding of local food systems and a commitment to supporting local producers and sustainable practices.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within a diverse team and engage with the community.
Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced, evolving environment, with a proactive and innovative mindset.
