We are Hiring - Film Advocacy Specialist

Are you a dynamic individual with a passion for storytelling? Kenya Film Commission is seeking a Film Advocacy Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will have the exciting opportunity to promote the film industry, connect with local filmmakers, and ensure the growth of the industry.

Your Responsibilities:

Develop and implement strategies to advocate for the film industry within the Eastern region
Build and maintain relationships with local filmmakers, production houses, and industry stakeholders
Organize events, workshops, and seminars to educate and empower aspiring filmmakers
Collaborate with government agencies, NGOs, and other relevant bodies to create a conducive environment for the film industry
Collect data and conduct research to analyze trends and opportunities in the film sector
Stay updated on industry developments, policies, and regulations affecting the film sector

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
Proven experience in the film industry or related field
Excellent communication and networking skills
Passionate about promoting local filmmakers and enhancing the film ecosystem
Strong organizational and project management abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
