Director of Culinary Innovation and Development

We are seeking a visionary and strategic leader to join the Marche Association of Culinary Professionals as the Director of Culinary Innovation and Development. The ideal candidate will be passionate about driving culinary excellence and innovation within the Marche region, fostering collaboration, and promoting the culinary arts with a focus on sustainability and community engagement.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead culinary initiatives and create innovative strategies to elevate regional cuisine and culinary craftsmanship.
  • Develop and implement programs that support culinary education, training, and mentorship.
  • Collaborate with local culinary professionals, businesses, and government agencies to advocate for culinary arts and related initiatives.
  • Champion sustainable culinary practices and community-based food programs.
  • Drive the development of culinary tourism and cultural exchange initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities for culinary partnerships and sponsorships to support and showcase local talent.
  • Act as a spokesperson for the Association, representing culinary professionals and promoting the value of culinary arts within the region.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to advance the culinary industry.
  • Oversee the execution of culinary events, competitions, and exhibitions.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices to guide the Association's strategic direction.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in culinary leadership, innovation, and program development.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of local and international culinary trends, techniques, and ingredients.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated commitment to sustainability, community engagement, and culinary arts advocacy.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to drive initiatives from concept to implementation.
  • Experience in collaborating with government and nonprofit organizations is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Italian.
  • Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field. An advanced degree is a plus.
  • Passion for elevating regional cuisine and celebrating culinary diversity.
