About us
The Appenzell Ausserrhoden Orchid Growers Association is a renowned organization dedicated to the cultivation, preservation, and research of orchid species within the Appenzell Ausserrhoden region. We work closely with local communities and authorities to promote orchid conservation and educate the public about the importance of protecting these delicate flowers.
Your Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth research on orchids native to Appenzell Ausserrhoden
- Develop and implement conservation strategies for orchid habitats
- Collaborate with local farmers and landowners to promote sustainable orchid cultivation practices
- Organize educational workshops and awareness campaigns
- Establish partnerships with government agencies, universities, and nonprofit organizations to further our conservation efforts
- Monitor and assess the growth and health of orchids in our facilities and natural environments
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Botany, Conservation Biology, or a related field
- Proficiency in orchid identification and knowledge of their growth requirements
- Experience in conducting field research and implementing conservation programs
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
- Passion for orchid conservation and a commitment to environmental sustainability
