We have an exciting opportunity to join our Green Solutions team at Covanta Energy in New Jersey. We are looking for a highly motivated and passionate individual to fill the position of Sustainable Development Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for driving sustainable and environmentally-friendly initiatives within our company.

Your role and responsibilities:
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement sustainable development strategies and initiatives
- Evaluate and assess the environmental impact of our projects and operations
- Identify opportunities for waste reduction, recycling, and renewable energy generation
- Research and analyze sustainability trends and best practices in the construction and real estate industry
- Provide guidance and expertise on sustainable materials and building practices
- Prepare reports and presentations to communicate sustainability goals and achievements to stakeholders
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in sustainability, environmental planning, or a related field
- Understanding of sustainable development practices and principles
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
