Role Description:

As a Sustainable Development Specialist at Nucor, you would be responsible for ensuring our construction and real estate projects align with environmental standards and promote long-term sustainability. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement eco-friendly practices, identify renewable energy opportunities, and minimize our carbon footprint.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement sustainable development strategies tailored to our construction and real estate projects
Collaborate with internal teams to integrate environmentally friendly practices
Conduct environmental assessments and analyze potential impacts
Identify renewable energy sources and promote their integration into our projects
Recommend and implement energy-saving measures and green building techniques
Stay updated on industry trends and research breakthroughs related to sustainable construction and real estate

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or related field
Proven experience in sustainable development within the construction or real estate industry
Strong understanding of environmental regulations and certifications (e.g., LEED)
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective communication and teamwork abilities
