Lead Environmental Steward

Order of the Long Leaf Pine is seeking a motivated and passionate individual to join our dynamic team as a Lead Environmental Steward. As a key member of our organization, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding and enhancing North Carolina’s natural environment and geology. This role presents a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the preservation of our state’s ecological heritage.

Responsibilities Include:

Developing and implementing strategies for environmental conservation and sustainability.
Conducting thorough assessments and analyses of the local ecosystem and geological landscapes.
Collaborating with government agencies and local stakeholders to promote eco-friendly initiatives.
Deploying innovative techniques to mitigate environmental impact and foster sustainable practices.
Leading educational outreach programs to raise awareness about environmental protection and geologic significance.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, Geology, or a related field.
Proven experience in environmental research, conservation, or geological surveys.
Strong understanding of local environmental policies, regulations, and conservation efforts.
Excellent communication and leadership skills with a passion for environmental advocacy.
Demonstrated ability to drive initiatives that positively impact the environment and geological landscapes.
