Order of the Long Leaf Pine is seeking a motivated and passionate individual to join our dynamic team as a Lead Environmental Steward. As a key member of our organization, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding and enhancing North Carolina’s natural environment and geology. This role presents a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the preservation of our state’s ecological heritage.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Developing and implementing strategies for environmental conservation and sustainability.
  • Conducting thorough assessments and analyses of the local ecosystem and geological landscapes.
  • Collaborating with government agencies and local stakeholders to promote eco-friendly initiatives.
  • Deploying innovative techniques to mitigate environmental impact and foster sustainable practices.
  • Leading educational outreach programs to raise awareness about environmental protection and geologic significance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, Geology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in environmental research, conservation, or geological surveys.
  • Strong understanding of local environmental policies, regulations, and conservation efforts.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with a passion for environmental advocacy.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive initiatives that positively impact the environment and geological landscapes.
