Akureyri Community Environmental Group is actively seeking a passionate and dedicated professional to join our team in Northeastern Region, Iceland. Position: Community Development Specialist
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading and coordinating community-focused construction and development projects
- Collaborating with local stakeholders to identify and address environmental and community development needs
- Implementing sustainable solutions that contribute to the region's overall development
- Providing expertise on real estate initiatives related to environmental conservation and community enhancement
- Developing and managing projects aimed at enhancing the region's environmental and community infrastructure
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Urban Planning, or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management or community development
- Demonstrated understanding of environmental regulations and sustainable construction practices
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with diverse community stakeholders
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
