Position Available: We are currently seeking a passionate and proactive individual to join our team as a Community Engagement and Advocacy Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with various community organizations and stakeholders, as well as advocating for inclusivity and diversity within the healthcare sector. You will have the opportunity to lead initiatives that promote equity, access, and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with local and regional community organizations to support diversity and inclusion initiatives.
Develop and implement strategies to advocate for equitable healthcare access for marginalized communities.
Lead and participate in forums, workshops, and events promoting awareness of diversity and inclusion in healthcare.
Contribute to the development of policies and procedures that support a diverse and inclusive workplace.
Provide guidance and support to internal teams on diversity and inclusion best practices.
Track and report on the progress of diversity and inclusion initiatives within the organization.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Social Work, Sociology, or a related field.
Experience working with community organizations focused on diversity, inclusion, and healthcare advocacy.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and collaborate with diverse groups.
Knowledge of healthcare policies and practices related to diversity and inclusion is an asset.
Demonstrated commitment to social justice and advocacy.
Fluency in English and another language is preferred.
