We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team at Sikh Temple Kakamega in the heart of Western Kenya. As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in identifying and acquiring top talent to contribute to our organization's growth and success. The successful candidate will have a keen eye for exceptional talent, possess strong networking abilities, and excel in building and maintaining relationships.

Responsibilities:

Design and implement overall recruiting strategy
Develop and update job descriptions and job specifications
Source and attract candidates through various channels
Collaborate with department managers to forecast future hiring needs
Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in talent acquisition
Build the company's professional network through relationships with HR professionals, colleges, and other partners
Assist in employee retention and development programs
Conduct interviews using various reliable recruiting and selection tools/methods to filter candidates within schedule
Assess applicants' relevant knowledge, skills, soft skills, experience, and aptitudes
Monitor and apply HR recruiting best practices

Requirements:

Proven work experience as a Recruiter or similar role
Experience with various interview formats
Familiarity with HR databases, applicant tracking systems, and candidate management systems
Hands-on experience with recruiting software and job boards
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong decision-making skills
Ability to juggle various tasks and prioritize effectively
Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
Good team player with a positive attitude
