We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team at Vestfold Foundation for Community Development. As a Community Development Specialist, you will play a crucial role in driving positive change and fostering growth within our local communities. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects and initiatives that directly impact the lives of individuals and families in Vestfold og Telemark.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with local stakeholders, organizations, and government agencies to identify community needs and develop strategic initiatives.
Design and implement programs aimed at promoting economic development, social welfare, and sustainable community growth.
Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and events to engage community members and encourage active participation in development efforts.
Evaluate the effectiveness of community programs and initiatives, and make recommendations for improvement.
Advocate for the needs of underrepresented groups and work to create inclusive opportunities for all community members.
Conduct research and analysis to identify emerging community trends and potential areas for development.
Build and maintain strong relationships with local businesses, nonprofits, and government entities to support collaborative efforts.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Community Development, Public Administration, Social Work, or a related field.
Proven experience in community outreach, project management, or nonprofit work.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team.
Passion for community development and a commitment to creating positive change.
Proficiency in data analysis and reporting is a plus.
