Job Description:

New Mexico Department of Game and Fish is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Multicultural Outreach Coordinator. This position plays a crucial role in promoting diversity and inclusivity within our organization and engaging with diverse communities across New Mexico.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement strategies to enhance multicultural outreach efforts
Collaborate with community organizations and leaders to foster partnerships
Organize and participate in community events, workshops, and educational programs
Create and distribute culturally sensitive materials to reach diverse audiences
Conduct research to identify target communities and their specific needs
Provide training and guidance to staff on cultural competency and diversity issues
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of outreach initiatives

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Cultural Studies, Sociology, Nonprofit Management)
Experience working in multicultural environments or with diverse communities
Strong knowledge of cultural diversity and inclusion principles
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to develop and maintain relationships with community partners
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and social media platforms
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the state
