Palermo Community Bookstore is looking for a passionate individual to take on the role of Sustainable Outreach Coordinator. Job Description:

Develop and execute outreach programs aimed at promoting sustainability and environmental awareness within the local community.
Collaborate with local schools, organizations, and businesses to organize educational events and workshops that highlight the importance of environmental stewardship.
Manage social media and other communication channels to promote our sustainable initiatives and engage with the community on environmental issues.
Work closely with the marketing team to create compelling content, such as blog posts, newsletters, or press releases, that effectively communicates our commitment to sustainability.
Identify and pursue partnerships and sponsorships with like-minded organizations and eco-friendly brands to support our sustainability efforts.
Monitor and evaluate the impact of outreach activities and initiatives, and adapt strategies as needed to maximize effectiveness.
Represent the bookstore at local events and community gatherings to strengthen our presence and influence in sustainable initiatives.
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure our operations and processes align with our sustainability goals and support eco-friendly practices.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies, Community Outreach, Public Relations, or a related field.
Demonstrated experience in outreach, community engagement, or public relations, preferably with a focus on sustainability or environmental advocacy.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to craft compelling messages and engage diverse audiences.
Proven ability to organize and manage events, projects, or initiatives, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Passion for environmental sustainability and a genuine commitment to making a positive impact within the local community.
Proficiency in social media management and content creation, with a good understanding of analytics and metrics to evaluate outreach efforts.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills and a proactive, can-do attitude.
Familiarity with sustainable practices and eco-friendly initiatives, with a willingness to continuously learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
