We are seeking an innovative and results-driven individual with a passion for education to join our team as a Public Engagement Strategist at The Norwegian Directorate for Education and Training in Oslo. This role presents a unique opportunity to shape the future of education in Norway.

As a Public Engagement Strategist, you will be at the forefront of creating and implementing communication initiatives that drive public engagement and support the advancement of educational policies and programs. You will be responsible for crafting compelling narratives, leveraging multimedia platforms, and developing strategies to effectively disseminate information to diverse audiences.

The ideal candidate will possess a blend of strategic communication skills, creative thinking, and a deep understanding of the evolving media landscape. You should be adept at leveraging social media, traditional media, and other communication channels to amplify our message and engage stakeholders.

Key responsibilities:

Develop and execute comprehensive communication plans to promote educational initiatives and priorities
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, educational partners, and stakeholders
Lead the creation of engaging content across various media platforms
Evaluate the impact of communication efforts and adjust strategies as necessary
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to align communication strategies with organizational objectives

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Communication, Media Studies, Public Relations, or a related field
Proven experience in developing and implementing successful communication strategies
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Norwegian and English
Demonstrated ability to think creatively and strategically
Strong project management and organizational abilities
