About Kentucky School for the Blind Foundation: The Kentucky School for the Blind Foundation is dedicated to enhancing educational opportunities for students who are visually impaired. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Community Engagement Coordinator to join our team:

  • Develop and implement strategies to engage with the community, fostering relationships with local organizations, businesses, and influential individuals.
  • Plan and execute fundraising events, creating innovative initiatives to garner support from the community and increase awareness of our mission and programs.
  • Collaborate with the communications team to develop engaging content for social media, newsletters, and press releases, effectively communicating the impact of our foundation.
  • Organize volunteer programs, managing recruitment, training, and recognition initiatives to ensure the success of volunteer efforts.
  • Work with the foundation's leadership to develop and maintain partnerships that support the organization's strategic goals and initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, nonprofit management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in community engagement, outreach, or nonprofit development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to cultivate meaningful relationships within the community.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities, with a keen eye for detail and the capacity to handle multiple priorities.
  • Passion for the mission of supporting visually impaired students and promoting inclusive education opportunities.
