We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity at Maasai Mara University in Narok, Kenya. We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Community Development Specialist.

As a Community Development Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in fostering positive change within the local community. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to promote sustainable development initiatives, collaborate with various stakeholders, and create opportunities for growth and progress.

Responsibilities:

Design and execute programs that address community needs and contribute to social development
Establish partnerships with local organizations, government agencies, and NGOs to support community projects
Conduct thorough research and analysis to assess community needs and identify potential areas for improvement
Create and manage budgets, ensuring the efficient allocation of resources to achieve program objectives
Organize workshops, training sessions, and awareness campaigns for community members
Evaluate and monitor the effectiveness of community development initiatives
Provide support and guidance to team members and community volunteers

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Community Development, Social Work, or a related field
Previous experience in community development, preferably in a non-profit or government setting
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse groups of individuals
Proficiency in project management and budgeting
