Job Description:

We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Wellness Specialist at KZN Blind and Deaf Society Job Placement Program. As a Wellness Specialist, you will play a crucial role in providing support and guidance to individuals with visual and hearing impairments in their journey towards personal well-being and self-care.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement personalized wellness plans for individuals with visual and hearing impairments.
Conduct assessments to identify specific needs and goals of each individual.
Provide guidance and support in areas such as nutrition, exercise, stress management, and self-care.
Collaborate with other professionals to ensure holistic care and support for individuals.
Monitor progress and make necessary adjustments to wellness plans.
Offer educational workshops and training sessions on various wellness topics.
Stay updated with current trends and research in the wellness industry.

Requirements:

Qualification in a related field such as wellness coaching, holistic health, or similar.
Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Empathy and understanding towards individuals with visual and hearing impairments.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Passion for promoting well-being and self-care.
Flexibility to adapt to the unique needs of each individual.
