We are excited to announce an opening for the position of Cultural Health Consultant at the Ontario Ministry of Seniors and Accessibility. Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement culturally sensitive health initiatives for seniors and individuals with disabilities.
- Collaborate with community organizations to address healthcare disparities and optimize accessibility to healthcare services.
- Provide guidance on creating inclusive healthcare environments that cater to diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Educate healthcare professionals on cultural competencies and sensitivity in patient care.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. Health Sciences, Social Work, Public Health).
- Demonstrated experience working with diverse cultural communities.
- Strong communication skills and ability to engage with stakeholders from various cultural backgrounds.
- Knowledge of healthcare systems, policies, and best practices related to cultural inclusivity.
