About Kalmar Women's Shelter

Our shelter provides a safe haven for women and their children, offering emotional support, counseling, and practical assistance to help them rebuild their lives.
Position Available: Community Support Specialist
Responsibilities:
- Provide crisis intervention and emotional support to women accessing our services
- Assist with the development and implementation of individual support plans
- Offer guidance and referrals to community resources for participants
- Conduct risk assessments and safety planning
- Facilitate group sessions and workshops on relevant topics
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a social services or related field
- Strong understanding of the dynamics of domestic violence and its impact on survivors
- Empathetic and non-judgmental approach
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting
- Fluency in Swedish and English
