Kalmar Women's Shelter is a leading organization dedicated to supporting and empowering women who have experienced domestic violence or are at risk of such violence. Our shelter provides a safe haven for women and their children, offering emotional support, counseling, and practical assistance to help them rebuild their lives.

Position Available: Community Support Specialist

Responsibilities:

Provide crisis intervention and emotional support to women accessing our services
Assist with the development and implementation of individual support plans
Offer guidance and referrals to community resources for participants
Conduct risk assessments and safety planning
Facilitate group sessions and workshops on relevant topics
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care

Qualifications:

Previous experience working in a social services or related field
Strong understanding of the dynamics of domestic violence and its impact on survivors
Empathetic and non-judgmental approach
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a team setting
Fluency in Swedish and English
