Your Role as a Sustainability Specialist

As a Sustainability Specialist at Vermont Gas Systems, you will play a crucial role in promoting sustainability practices within our organization. Your primary responsibilities will include:

Conducting environmental impact assessments to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement sustainability initiatives
Monitoring and reporting on company-wide environmental performance and regulatory compliance
Developing and delivering training programs to increase awareness of sustainability practices among employees
Researching emerging sustainable technologies and recommending their implementation
Engaging with key stakeholders, including government agencies and community organizations, to ensure alignment with sustainability objectives

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

A bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or a related field
Prior experience in environmental sustainability, environmental management, or a similar role
Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and best practices
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Exceptional communication and presentation abilities
