Position Overview:

As a Development Specialist at Aultman College, you will be responsible for identifying and implementing strategic initiatives to enhance our campus infrastructure and expand our real estate portfolio. You will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to manage construction projects and evaluate potential investment opportunities. This role requires a strong understanding of the Construction/Real Estate industry, excellent project management skills, and a knack for identifying growth opportunities.

Responsibilities:

Lead the planning and execution of campus development projects in alignment with the College's strategic goals
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure project timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met
Analyze market trends and conduct feasibility studies to identify potential real estate opportunities
Prepare project proposals, financial analyses, and risk assessments
Negotiate contracts with vendors and oversee procurement processes
Maintain accurate documentation, including contracts, permits, and progress reports
Monitor project progress and resolve any issues that may arise during construction
Stay updated with industry regulations, best practices, and technological advancements related to construction and real estate

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
Proven experience in managing construction projects and real estate development
Familiarity with construction permits, building codes, and regulatory requirements
Strong financial acumen and ability to perform detailed project cost estimations
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Effective communication and negotiation abilities
Proficiency in project management software
