Position: Geotechnical Engineer
We are currently seeking a highly skilled Geotechnical Engineer to join our team. In this role, your expertise will be instrumental in assessing the impact of human activities on the environment and proposing innovative solutions for sustainability.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct geotechnical investigations to evaluate soil properties, stability, and environmental conditions
- Perform geotechnical analyses and interpret data to determine the suitability of sites for various projects
- Assess potential risks related to land development and propose mitigation measures
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide geotechnical recommendations for engineering projects
- Prepare technical reports, including site assessments, feasibility studies, and environmental impact assessments
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and guidelines
- Stay updated on industry advancements and emerging technologies to enhance our organization's capabilities
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Geology, or a related field
- Proven experience in geotechnical engineering or a similar position
- Familiarity with geotechnical investigation methods, soil testing, and analysis techniques
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in geotechnical software and computer-aided design (CAD) applications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid professional engineer (P.Eng.) license is preferable
