Your Role:

As an Environmental Solutions Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing environmentally conscious initiatives throughout UConn Health. Your primary objective will be to analyze and optimize the organization's environmental impact by identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing sustainable practices.

Responsibilities:

Evaluate current environmental practices and identify areas for improvement
Develop strategies to reduce waste, energy consumption, and carbon footprint
Implement programs to promote recycling, resource conservation, and sustainable operations
Conduct environmental risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability principles across departments
Stay informed about environmental regulations and industry trends

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or related field
Experience in environmental management or related role
Knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations
Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Passion for environmental sustainability and desire to make a positive impact
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Certification in relevant environmental programs is a plus
