Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments of aquatic habitats and monitor environmental changes to support research and conservation efforts in the region.
- Provide expert advice on the impacts of climate change, pollution, and human activities on aquatic ecosystems.
- Contribute to the development of comprehensive management plans for the protection and sustainable use of aquatic resources.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including scientists, government agencies, and local communities, to promote environmental awareness and implement conservation initiatives.
- Participate in field expeditions and manage data collection, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Marine Biology, Ecology, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience in conducting field research and monitoring aquatic habitats.
- Sound knowledge of ecosystem dynamics, species identification, and environmental impact assessment.
- Familiarity with GIS software and statistical analysis tools.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders and present findings in a clear and understandable manner.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
