Reach Out and Read South Africa is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting literacy and early childhood development in disadvantaged communities across KwaZulu-Natal. Our mission is to provide access to books and promote reading aloud to young children to ensure they enter school prepared for success.

About the role

As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will play a vital role in attracting and selecting the best talent for our organization. Your primary responsibilities will include:

Developing and implementing effective recruitment strategies
Creating job descriptions and advertisements
Utilizing various recruitment channels and platforms
Screening resumes and conducting interviews
Evaluating candidates' qualifications and suitability
Managing the candidate selection process
Collaborating with hiring managers to understand their needs and requirements
Building and maintaining a strong talent pipeline

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
Proven experience in recruitment or talent acquisition
Excellent knowledge of recruitment practices, including sourcing, interviewing, and candidate assessment
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
Attention to detail and ability to make informed decisions
Passionate about making a difference in the community
