ASV Automatische Schweiß- und Prüfanlagen GmbH is a leading company based in Bremen, Germany, specializing in advanced welding and testing systems. We are currently looking for a talented individual to join our team as a Safety and Compliance Officer.

As a Safety and Compliance Officer at ASV, you will be responsible for ensuring that our operations comply with all safety regulations and industry standards. Your role will involve developing and implementing safety protocols, conducting risk assessments, and providing training to employees on safety procedures. In addition, you will be responsible for keeping up to date with relevant regulations and ensuring our practices align with them.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain a comprehensive safety program, including policies, procedures, and protocols.
Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure corrective actions are taken.
Implement and manage programs to prevent accidents, injuries, and occupational illnesses.
Provide training and education to employees on safety best practices.
Investigate incidents and near-misses, identify root causes, and implement preventive measures.
Stay informed about relevant safety regulations and ensure compliance with them.

Qualifications:

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven work experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
In-depth knowledge of safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
