We are the Nakuru Youth Center, a leading organization dedicated to empowering youth and fostering positive change in Nakuru, Kenya. We are seeking a passionate and innovative individual to join our dynamic team as a Community Engagement Specialist.

With a focus on empowering the youth, we have successfully conducted various projects that address societal challenges, foster educational opportunities, and create spaces for dialogue and growth.

About the Role:

As a Community Engagement Specialist, you will play a key role in driving our organization's mission forward through effective community engagement strategies. You will be responsible for:

Identifying and building relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, nonprofit organizations, and community leaders.
Developing and implementing outreach programs and initiatives to engage community members in our projects.
Collaborating with other team members to organize and host events, workshops, and training sessions.
Conducting community needs assessments to identify areas for program improvement and expansion.
Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of our programs while providing recommendations for enhancement.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Community Development, or a related field.
Proven experience in community engagement, project management, or a similar role.
Knowledge of government and nonprofit sectors, policies, and regulations.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build strong relationships.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Passion for youth empowerment, social justice, and community development.
