Position: Socio-Environmental Practitioner

At Amref, we believe in making a difference beyond healthcare. Our Responsible Development team focuses on sustainable construction practices and ensuring our real estate projects contribute to the social and environmental well-being of Central, Kenya.

Your Role:

Develop and implement strategies that align construction projects with our commitment to social responsibility
Collaborate with local communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure sustainable development
Evaluate project sites and propose environmentally friendly designs and solutions
Advocate for the use of renewable energy sources and efficient resource management in construction projects
Identify and manage potential environmental risks and hazards associated with our projects
Conduct thorough research and stay up-to-date with emerging trends in sustainable construction practices

Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry or related field
Strong knowledge of sustainable construction practices and environmental regulations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with stakeholders
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment to achieve project objectives
Passion for social responsibility and eagerness to make a positive impact on communities
