Role Description
As an Advanced Geospatial Analyst, you will play a crucial role in our Environmental and Geological Mapping division. You will be responsible for exploring cutting-edge geospatial technologies, analyzing complex environmental data, and developing innovative solutions to mitigate potential environmental risks associated with transportation projects.
Responsibilities
- Utilize advanced geospatial software to analyze and interpret environmental and geological data
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize geospatial analysis processes
- Conduct comprehensive environmental impact assessments and risk analyses
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate geospatial data into transportation planning and decision-making processes
- Identify and communicate potential environmental risks and propose solutions to mitigate them
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in geospatial technology and incorporate them into department practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Geography, Geology, Environmental Science, or a related field
- Strong proficiency in GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS)
- Experience with spatial analysis, remote sensing, and data visualization tools
- Knowledge of environmental regulations and impact assessment methodologies
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
