Job Opportunity:
We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Multicultural Engagement Specialist. In this role, you will play a vital part in establishing and maintaining relationships with diverse communities to ensure that every asylum seeker feels supported and valued.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement outreach strategies to engage with multicultural communities
- Organize and coordinate culturally diverse events and workshops
- Collaborate with community leaders and organizations to strengthen community networks
- Provide cultural awareness training to staff and volunteers
- Assist with translation and interpretation as needed
- Conduct research to identify emerging needs within multicultural communities
Requirements:
- Passionate about promoting inclusivity and supporting asylum seekers
- Experience in community engagement and working with multicultural communities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders
- Fluency in English and proficiency in one or more languages spoken by asylum seekers
- Highly organized, adaptable, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
