Job Opportunity:

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Multicultural Engagement Specialist. In this role, you will play a vital part in establishing and maintaining relationships with diverse communities to ensure that every asylum seeker feels supported and valued.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement outreach strategies to engage with multicultural communities
Organize and coordinate culturally diverse events and workshops
Collaborate with community leaders and organizations to strengthen community networks
Provide cultural awareness training to staff and volunteers
Assist with translation and interpretation as needed
Conduct research to identify emerging needs within multicultural communities

Requirements:

Passionate about promoting inclusivity and supporting asylum seekers
Experience in community engagement and working with multicultural communities
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders
Fluency in English and proficiency in one or more languages spoken by asylum seekers
Highly organized, adaptable, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
