Job Summary:

As a Government Relations Specialist, you will play a crucial role in establishing and maintaining strong relationships with government bodies, non-profit organizations, and other key stakeholders. Your primary focus will be to support our company's initiatives and objectives by ensuring effective communication and collaboration with relevant entities.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to build and maintain positive relationships with government officials, agencies, and non-profit organizations.
  • Monitor and analyze government policies, regulations, and legislation to identify potential impacts on the company's operations.
  • Advocate on behalf of the company to influence policy decisions and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide timely and accurate information to government stakeholders.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and public hearings.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to government officials and other external stakeholders.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging issues, and potential opportunities that may impact the company.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in political science, public administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Previous experience in government relations, policy analysis, or public affairs within the energy sector or a related industry.
  • Strong understanding of government processes, legislative frameworks, and regulatory environments.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain networks of government and non-profit contacts.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail with exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and experience using government databases and online platforms.
