As a Talent Scout with the West Virginia Division of Forestry, you will be at the forefront of identifying, attracting, and retaining top-tier talent. Your role will be instrumental in continuing our tradition of excellence and fostering a culture of respect, diversity, and inclusion.

Responsibilities:

Develop innovative recruitment strategies to attract a diverse pool of candidates
Coordinate and lead recruitment events, job fairs, and outreach initiatives
Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and requirements
Conduct interviews, screenings, and assessments to evaluate candidate fit
Manage the candidate selection process from application to offer stage
Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations

Qualifications:

Proven experience in talent acquisition, sourcing, or recruitment
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of HR best practices and employment laws
