Position: Rural Development Specialist

We are looking for a dynamic and forward-thinking individual to join our team at the Gauteng Department of Agriculture and Rural Development in South Africa. As a Rural Development Specialist, you will play a crucial role in driving sustainable development initiatives that positively impact rural communities across Gauteng.

Responsibilities:

Design and implement strategic plans to support the growth and development of rural areas.
Collaborate with local stakeholders to identify opportunities for sustainable agricultural practices.
Lead outreach programs to empower local farmers and promote agricultural innovation.
Evaluate the impact of development projects and suggest improvements for future initiatives.
Advocate for rural communities and represent their interests in governmental meetings and forums.

Requirements:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Agriculture, Rural Development, Public Policy, or related field.
Prior experience in community development, project management, or relevant fields.
