Position: Public Policy Strategist

Location: New York, NY

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Public Policy Strategist to shape our advocacy strategies and drive engagement with governmental bodies, nonprofits, and other strategic partners. As a Public Policy Strategist, you will have the opportunity to influence public decisions, develop impactful campaigns, and address critical healthcare challenges. Your innovative thinking, strategic planning, and effective communication skills will be the key to your success in this role.

Responsibilities:

Create and implement strategic advocacy plans to advance Pfizer's policy priorities
Identify and engage with key stakeholders, including government officials, nonprofit organizations, and industry experts
Monitor legislative and regulatory developments, and analyze their potential impact on Pfizer's business and goals
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop policy positions, draft white papers, and prepare presentations
Represent Pfizer at industry conferences, government hearings, and other public forums

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in political science, public policy, or a related field; master's degree preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience in advocacy, public policy, or government relations
Extensive knowledge of government and nonprofit sectors, as well as healthcare policy landscapes
Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
