We are currently seeking a talented individual to join our team at the Louisiana Department of Health - Office of Aging and Adult Services - Region 2. We have an exciting opportunity available for a Multicultural Communications Specialist who will play a vital role in promoting our organization's commitment to diversity, inclusion, and cultural sensitivity.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement strategic communication plans to effectively reach diverse populations
Create content for various platforms including websites, social media, and newsletters
Translate complex concepts into clear and engaging messaging for diverse audiences
Organize and participate in community outreach events to foster relationships with diverse communities
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistency and coherence in messaging
Monitor media trends and identify opportunities to enhance our multicultural communication efforts
Evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies and make recommendations for improvement

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field
Proven experience in developing multicultural communication strategies
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and at least one other language
Understanding of cultural nuances and sensitivities
Proficient in using various digital communication tools and platforms
Strong organizational and project management abilities
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
