Position: Community Engagement Coordinator

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement community engagement strategies to enhance public participation in various social development projects.
Collaborate with stakeholders, including local government, nonprofit organizations, and community leaders, to identify community needs and opportunities.
Plan and organize events, campaigns, and workshops to raise awareness and encourage community involvement.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with community partners to leverage resources and support.
Manage volunteers and oversee their involvement in community activities.
Evaluate the effectiveness of community engagement initiatives and implement improvements as necessary.
Stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in community engagement and social development.

Requirements:

A passion for community development and a strong commitment to social change.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage and network with diverse stakeholders.
Proven experience in organizing and managing community events or projects.
Ability to think creatively and develop innovative strategies to address community challenges.
Strong organizational and project management skills to multitask and meet deadlines.
Understanding of the cultural, economic, and social dynamics of the Free State region.
