Position Overview

We are looking for a passionate Natural Resource Specialist to ensure the responsible management and protection of natural resources related to our operations in Alberta. As a Natural Resource Specialist, you will play a crucial role in assessing the environmental impact of our activities and implementing strategies to reduce any adverse effects.

Responsibilities

Conduct environmental assessments to identify potential risks and impacts on natural resources
Develop and implement sustainable strategies to minimize our ecological footprint
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards
Support the planning and execution of land reclamation projects
Monitor and analyze environmental data to evaluate the effectiveness of mitigation efforts
Provide technical expertise and guidance on environmental issues

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or a related field
Previous experience in environmental assessment and management
Strong understanding of Alberta's regulatory framework and environmental guidelines
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficient in data analysis tools and environmental modeling software
Effective communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
Proven ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams
