We are currently seeking a dedicated and innovative individual to join our team as a Sustainable Housing Development Specialist. This position offers an excellent opportunity for professionals with a passion for environmental sustainability and creating lasting positive change in the community.

Job Responsibilities:

Research and identify sustainable building practices and materials that align with our mission and goals
Assess the viability of sustainable housing projects within the community
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to develop sustainable building designs
Manage the implementation of sustainable construction practices and technologies
Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations
Monitor the progress of sustainable housing projects and provide regular updates to stakeholders
Evaluate the environmental impact of housing projects and develop strategies for reducing carbon footprint
Conduct site visits to ensure construction projects are aligned with sustainability guidelines
Develop and deliver educational programs on sustainable housing practices to the community
Support fundraising efforts by providing expertise and data related to sustainable housing development

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or related field
Proven experience in sustainable building design and construction
Strong knowledge of green building practices, energy-efficient systems, and renewable energy sources
Familiarity with local and national sustainability guidelines and regulations
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective communication skills with the ability to interact with diverse stakeholders
Passion for environmental sustainability and social responsibility
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Proficient in relevant software and tools, such as AutoCAD and energy modeling software
