Cultural Engagement Specialist

About the Role:

Develop and implement strategies to promote diversity and inclusivity within the organization
Partner with various departments to provide guidance on diversity-focused initiatives
Organize cultural awareness programs and events for staff and students
Collaborate with external organizations to expand community engagement efforts
Evaluate and recommend policies and practices that embrace diversity and inclusion

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
Proven track record in fostering diversity and inclusion
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Strong understanding of cultural differences and sensitivities
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in higher education or similar setting
Familiarity with recruitment strategies targeting underrepresented groups
Knowledge of applicable diversity and equal opportunity laws
Proficiency in using various HR software and tools
