About the Position:

Job Title: Innovation Officer

Industry: Agricultural Development

Responsibilities:

Identify emerging trends and opportunities in the dairy farming sector, both locally and globally.
Collaborate with internal teams to develop strategies for implementing innovative ideas and technologies.
Evaluate the potential impact of new initiatives and provide recommendations on their viability.
Manage innovation projects from ideation to execution, ensuring effective implementation and measurable outcomes.
Establish and maintain partnerships with key stakeholders, including government bodies, nonprofit organizations, and research institutions.
Conduct market analysis and competitor research to identify areas for improvement and innovation.
Develop and deliver training programs to educate farmers on new techniques and technologies.
Monitor and evaluate the performance and adoption of innovative projects, providing regular reports to the management team.
Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices, attending relevant conferences and workshops.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Business Administration, or a related field.
Proven experience in project management and implementing innovative solutions.
Strong knowledge of the dairy farming industry and an understanding of the challenges faced by farmers in the Western region of Kenya.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and strategically.
Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and network effectively.
Passion for entrepreneurship, innovation, and making a positive impact in the community.
