Exciting Opportunity: Natural Heritage Conservation Specialist

Job Description:

Conduct field research and surveys on the unique flora and fauna of the Northern Cape region.
Analyze geological formations, identify different rock types, and contribute to the understanding of the region's geology.
Develop and implement conservation plans to safeguard the biodiversity and natural heritage of the region.
Collaborate with local communities, government agencies, and stakeholders to promote sustainable practices and mitigate environmental impact.
Offer expertise and guidance to educational programs and raise awareness regarding the importance of environmental conservation.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Environmental Science, Ecology, Geology, or related fields.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in environmental research and conservation projects.
Strong knowledge of the Northern Cape ecosystem, including its unique geology and natural heritage.
Experience in conducting fieldwork, collecting and analyzing data, and producing reports.
Excellent communication skills to engage and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
Passion for environmental protection, a drive for continuous learning, and a commitment to making a positive impact.
