Exciting Opportunity: Natural Heritage Conservation Specialist
Job Description:
- Conduct field research and surveys on the unique flora and fauna of the Northern Cape region.
- Analyze geological formations, identify different rock types, and contribute to the understanding of the region's geology.
- Develop and implement conservation plans to safeguard the biodiversity and natural heritage of the region.
- Collaborate with local communities, government agencies, and stakeholders to promote sustainable practices and mitigate environmental impact.
- Offer expertise and guidance to educational programs and raise awareness regarding the importance of environmental conservation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Environmental Science, Ecology, Geology, or related fields.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in environmental research and conservation projects.
- Strong knowledge of the Northern Cape ecosystem, including its unique geology and natural heritage.
- Experience in conducting fieldwork, collecting and analyzing data, and producing reports.
- Excellent communication skills to engage and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
