Liège Cultural Association is seeking an experienced and dedicated professional to join our team as a Community Engagement Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for fostering community partnerships, promoting cultural events, and driving engagement with our organization's mission and values in Liège, Belgium.

About the Role

As the Community Engagement Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in connecting the Liège Cultural Association with the local community. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with local government bodies, community organizations, and stakeholders.
  • Developing and executing outreach programs to promote our organization's initiatives and events.
  • Collaborating with various departments to ensure effective coordination and communication.
  • Planning and organizing cultural events, including exhibitions, performances, workshops, and seminars.
  • Engaging with artists, performers, and volunteers to ensure a vibrant cultural community in Liège.
  • Managing social media platforms and website content to promote the organization's activities.
  • Monitoring and evaluating the success of community engagement initiatives and implementing improvements.


Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Arts Administration, Cultural Studies, or Communications.
  • Prior experience in community engagement, event planning, or nonprofit management.
  • Excellent communication skills in both French and English, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • An understanding of the cultural sector and the ability to work with artists, volunteers, and diverse community groups.
  • A passion for promoting cultural diversity, inclusivity, and community development.
