Position Overview:
We are looking for a talented and experienced professional to strategically drive our talent acquisition initiatives. As the Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will be responsible for sourcing, attracting, assessing, and selecting top-tier candidates across various departments within the municipality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement innovative recruitment strategies to attract high-quality candidates
- Partner with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and requirements
- Create compelling job descriptions and post them on relevant job boards and platforms
- Utilize a variety of sourcing methods, including social media, job advertisements, and networking, to build a pipeline of qualified candidates
- Screen applications and conduct effective phone and in-person interviews
- Coordinate and conduct background checks and reference checks for selected candidates
- Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date recruitment records and data
- Stay informed about labor market trends and industry best practices
- Build and maintain relationships with potential candidates and industry professionals
- Assist in the development and implementation of onboarding programs
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in talent acquisition, preferably in the public sector
- Proven track record in sourcing and attracting top-tier candidates
- A deep understanding of recruitment strategies, techniques, and best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and recruitment software
- Ability to handle multiple recruitment processes simultaneously
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
